I have a 30-30 coats, not much written on the machine really. Keep your hands away from the moving parts! Might try googling it, or contacting coats. They are still around I think.

I had one that was taken from my shed about seven years ago in western IA. They work great as long as you use 120-150 lb air. And tire mounting soap is a must. Have fun with it.

That's good to know, my in-laws live by Woodbury Tn. I bought it off a guys front porch in Okla.,for $350. I been wanting one for years, I had a old manual machine for years also, but was time to move up

FYI, i turn over the much newer 40-40SA center post machines for $150 in the Northern Va area- they are pretty used up when my shops are done with them, but I still have a few up for grabs that are functional for a homeowner or hobbyist.(most of the stuff we use now are rim clamp).
$That price seems high for a 20-20; haven't used those in about 25 years..

I would like to find one of the 10-10, 20-20 or larger machines up here in northern central Pennsylvania reasonably priced. Condition wouldn't be a big issue as I would rebuild it. Seems to be one of my multiple vehicle survival tricks, I buy used tires for my 2 trucks, but mounting costs almost as much as the tire.

todd, they'd be pretty heavy to ship, but try this- check out 'publicsurplus.com' and see what's being turned over by government motor pools and highschool shop classes in your area..you might find a deal, I've seen lots on there. Also, check with big tire chains in your area- Sears, Tire Kingdom, etc. Big retailers go through this equipment fast and will often sell the 'used up' stuff at scrap value or for the hauling away.
you are going to see mostly 'rim clamp' machines now rather than center post machines available..you may need 2 to get one working, because there is lots to go wrong with the rim clamps.
But, if you're ever in NoVa with a pick-up, gimme a holler!

Losing power to bust the bead and spin the bar, or losing power to air it up?
If it's losing power to bust the bead, check fluid level in the cylinder. Aside from the power, you'll notice that the bar swings in a very 'jerky' fashion when the fluid gets low.
